2011 was great. I wrote music for 8 episodes of the prime time ABC medical drama Body of Proof, and will continue to write as the season runs through March of 2012. I also contributed music to the upcoming ABC comedy, Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23. I had music in trailers and promotional material for Tangled (Disney), Mars Needs Moms (Disney), Mr. Poppers Penguins (20th Century Fox), Your Highness (Universal), The Muppets – 2 trailers – (Disney), Kung Fu Panda 2 (Paramount), and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (Focus Features). I scored a great pilot episode for Tremendosaur and many episodes of MyRoommateThe. There were also some shorts and odd jobs, like a national commercial for ADT Home Security, and a commission for a 5 minute piece to accompany a stadium fireworks show in Bahrain.

I’m exhausted just writing about this. Let’s see what 2012 brings.

I returned from my latest X-Ray Dog orchestral session in Seattle last week.  Currently scoring a great short that will be premiering at LA Shorts Fest in a couple of weeks (trailer).  I’ll have lots of new music coming to the site soon.

In scoring news, these past couple weeks I wrapped up scoring a pilot directed by LA-Based sketch group, Tremendosaur and produced by Levity Entertainment – hopefully I can share more on that soon.  Also, several shorts I’ve recently scored have been making the festival rounds – The Wallet played at Newport Beach Film Festival with an upcoming screening at LA Shorts Fest, and Blackbird (co-composer Ben Crippin Taylor) has been nominated for a student academy award.

I’m currently writing music to be recorded at an upcoming Seattle orchestral session with X-Ray Dog.  Very much looking forward to it.  Stay tuned.

Just returned from an absolutely exhausting, exhilarating, and mind bending trip to India.  I spent the entire two weeks in Mumbai to visit the filming of Beyond All Boundaries, Sushrut Jain’s (Andheri) upcoming feature documentary about India’s fervor and madness for the game of cricket.  The energy during India’s monumental win against Pakistan, and their victory in the championship, which was played in Mumbai, was incomparable.  After two weeks of absolute mayhem, I’m glad to be home!

Also, No Way to Say Goodbye director Jonas Jacobs has been in Cochabamba, Bolivia this past week to screen the film and revisit its city of origin.  He’ll be making his way across South America for additional screenings over the next few months.  Here’s some recent South American press about the film.
