“Andheri” Wins Again, and More

September 22nd, 2009

“Andheri” won the Grand Jury Prize at the San Francisco Shorts fest a couple of weekends ago.

I started writing some cues for TMZ/Extra this week.

I had the tremendous pleasure of recording vocalist Jacob Luttrell this past weekend for a song I cowrote and will coproduce with Ben Crippin Taylor.

Fall 2009 Update

September 8th, 2009

I recently completed two suspense/action tracks for X-Ray Dog that are going into mastering this week, including “Simmer,” which is featured on my site’s web player.  Alongside my track “Last Chance,” which was released on the “Night Hounds” disc in January, and another two tracks I completed in early August, I now have a total of seven X-Ray Dog tracks available for advertising and trailer licensing.

I also finished writing the score for Harry Chaskin’s “Bygone Behemoth,” a brilliant claymation short that will be making the festival rounds in the coming months.

Finally, In the past month I have been going through a long overdue major equipment upgrade in my studio, and I’m looking forward to getting my new rig up and running for projects coming up later this fall.

Nothing to divulge about my upcoming projects just yet – stay tuned.

Music Updated

July 12th, 2009

I posted some new pieces to the player this weekend: X-Ray Dog tracks “Unforgettable” and “Simmer,” as well as excerpts from the scores to “El Pez” and “You, Me, the Sea,” two projects for which I was fortunate to collaborate with fellow composer Ben Crippin Taylor.

-Completed two tracks for an X-Ray Dog release that entered the mastering phase today, with several more in the works for releases later in the year.

-Starz original series “Party Down,” for which I wrote additional music, entered an international distribution agreement and was picked up for a second season this fall.

-Scored three short films with two more lined up for July, including “To Live and Dine in LA” starring David Hasselhoff.

-Have been engaged in a promising demo process to compose for a major, highly creative and award-winning advertising agency; more on that soon.
