I composed music for an experimental documentary commemorating FLIP, an oceanic research vessel that studied underwater acoustics. The film, created by Sundance alum Rachel Mayeri, is presently installed as a triptych at Scripps' Birch Aquarium in La Jolla as part of the 2024 PST Art & Science Collide, the largest art event in the US. Rachel explores the wonder, play, humor, and danger of technology in her piece eulogizing the FLoating Instrument Platform (FLIP), a recently decommissioned ocean acoustic research vessel that could reorient itself into a vertical platform in rough seas.
